Does It Hurt?
The idea of inserting 5-20 needles into your body sounds a bit scary, and we understand that. However, acupuncture is virtually painless. You may experience some mild discomfort during the procedure, once the needles have reached the appropriate depth. Once this occurs, your practitioner may apply heat during the procedure. In general, the needles only stay in for about 20 minutes before they are removed.
